Saracen Towers - Positano

The Tower of Punta Vaccola (or Baccoli) was demolished to build the aqueduct to Capri, leaving standing today thirty-four Saracen Towers along the Sorrento-Amalfi Coast, which were once used as outpost for Saracen invasions. Twenty-seven miles of history stretching from  ‘Cala di Vietri’ to ‘Castellammare di Stabia’ which recall the ferocity of the Ottoman times.
